Manna Moments: Wednesday, November 3, 2010

Time to pull out the winter wool and think about things like Thanksgiving and Christmas! And we don’t want to forget Veterans Day! Today is National Men Make Dinner Day! Check out the easy recipe below. On Sunday, in many places across the country, we return to Standard Time, setting our clocks back 1 hour. We can make great use of that extra hour if we choose to! Many people will become a little blue when the early darkness sets in and the winter days keep them inside. To help prevent the “winter blues”, make a diligent effort to get out and about, exercise, eat well, organize your home, take up a new venture such as volunteering or begin a new hobby. Fight the desire to just hibernate and become a couch potato. Look to the Lord and seek His face daily!

                  Our Scrambled Bible Word for this week is: S N R E D S K A

Do not use hot water to remove frost from the windshield! This could shatter or break your windshield.

LOW FAT CHOCOLATE PEANUT BUTTER COOKIE

Melt a 1 lb. block of chocolate (I use Almond Bark blocks from Walmart)
Then spread peanut butter on a Ritz cracker, put another one on top and dip in chocolate.
I use low fat Ritz and low fat peanut butter.
Delicious. Makes about 50 or so cookies. Everybody just loves them.
